PROJECT OVERVIEW
FocalsPoint is a Saudi-born platform that maps the startup ecosystem across the Middle East and North Africa — verified startup data, investors, services, events and news in one place. MarketsFit Studios was there from the very first conversation: we shaped the concept with the founder, ran the business and market research, designed the product and go-to-market strategy, then built a bilingual brand identity and a waitlist landing page to open the doors.
CHALLENGE
Startup information in MENA is scattered across news sites, LinkedIn pages, pitch decks and word of mouth — and much of it is unverified. Investors can't compare companies with confidence, founders struggle to find the right funders and service providers, and the founder's vision covered so much ground that it needed a clear shape before anything could be built.
SOLUTION
We turned a broad vision into an ecosystem of six connected platforms, then narrowed it to four launch services for the first six months — each with its own user journey and revenue model. A verification-first data model, a one-market-a-month rollout starting in Saudi Arabia, and a confident blue identity built around a focal-point monogram gave the platform something investors could trust before launch.

From Idea to Ecosystem
We joined FocalsPoint before there was a name on the door. Together with the founder we ran business and market research across the Saudi, Gulf and North African startup scenes, defined who the platform serves — founders, investors, corporates and government bodies — and mapped everything they need into one connected ecosystem of six platforms.

Launch Scope
A six-platform vision can't launch all at once. We cut it down to four services that could launch, earn and build trust in the first six months — the Startup Showcase, Book Me workspace booking, the Startup Calendar and a Service Providers marketplace — each with its own user journey, provider journey and business plan.

Trust by Design
Investment decisions need data people can rely on. Every profile combines researched data from trusted sources with data entered by founders, and nothing goes live before it passes human checks, work-email domain matching, cross-database and LinkedIn checks, and a team review. Live feeds from sources such as Argaam and Tadawul keep profiles current.

Go-to-Market
We planned a one-market-a-month rollout — Saudi Arabia first, then the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, the rest of the GCC and North Africa — backed by a revenue model that mixes subscriptions, custom reports, enterprise partnerships, booking commissions and marketplace fees.

The Brand
FocalsPoint is where the region's startup story comes into focus. The identity is built on four values — transparency, innovation, connectivity and reliability — and one idea: a clear point of focus in a noisy market.

Logo & Monogram
The wordmark turns the O into a focal point resting on a line — a dot locked in place. It condenses into the Fo monogram for app icons, avatars and favicons.

Colour & Typography
Palatinate Blue leads, grounded by Black Blue, White Blue and Blackout for an institutional, data-confident feel. Galano Grotesque carries English across four weights, while Alexandria gives Arabic the same geometric clarity — so both languages read as one brand.

Brand in Use
Key visuals in Arabic and English, event stages, print, out-of-home, social and signage — a system built to show up wherever founders and investors meet.

The Waitlist Landing Page
To open the doors before the platform went live, we built an Arabic landing page in Framer — starting from a template's components and reshaping them into a custom page that explains the four core services, answers "why FocalsPoint" and turns visitors into waitlist sign-ups.

Where It Stands
FocalsPoint is in its waitlist phase, with the strategy, launch scope, brand system and landing page ready for its Saudi launch — a complete foundation built from a single conversation.
